Issue #31

Start with Chemistry

All the self-help methods in the world will fail if you're chemically out of balance. You may think you can think yourself out of depression or anxiety, but trust me, it's virtually impossible and you'll get more depressed and frustrated trying. The three things I've found by far the most effective have been anti-depressant meds (Zoloft in my case) which I used to put down until I realized how safe and effective they could be, mega-vitamin therapy to restore mood-enhancing neurotransmitters, and removing all sugar, caffeine, and refined carbs from my diet. None of these methods worked alone, but together they've made a profound difference to my emotional health, and I highly recommend addressing them all together. If you'd like details about any of these, email me and I'll give you resources.
